State Farm

State Farm has been offering Americans life, car and home insurance for over 100 years, and in 2018 branched out into pet insurance through a tie-up with Trupanion.

It’s a fairly simple one-size-fits-all plan, offering 90% coverage and no cap on the payout limit. Given their extensive insurance experience, one of the benefits to pet insurance with State Farm is the ability to bundle other types of insurance with it at the same time. That said, their 30-day waiting period for illnesses is pretty much double the industry standard, and there isn’t a Wellness plan either.
